Mr. Jean-Paul David is President of Mercadex International, a consulting firm specialized in supporting companies in global markets. He is regularly invited to speak on international trade in Quebec (Canada) and then in France, since he has an office in Paris in 2016.
Having studied in Quebec and France, he now has more than thirty years of practical experience in marketing, finance and international business development. Jean-Paul holds a Master’s degree (MBA) in Marketing and International Management from HEC Montréal, partly completed at the Lyon School of Management and he also holds a B.A.A. from the Université du Québec à Trois-Rivières.
In addition to his duties as President, he was a lecturer at HEC Montréal in International Business from 1998 to 2015. He taught internationalization strategies to business leaders and professional. He has been an external advisor to QG-100 (the network of the best performing companies in the world) and “Dragon” to entrepreneurs of the Beauce School of Entrepreneurship. Involved in several organizations during his life, he was president of the Mexico-Canada Chamber of Commerce, president and founder of the Quebec Association of Money Market Stakeholders and founder of the Alliance of International Strategists. He is the author of several publications in his field of expertise, notably with the book “How to develop international markets”, published by Transcontinental Publishing and selected among the best practical business books of 2008.
He is involved as a solidarity partner in the development of a disadvantaged people by contributing with his company to the control of projects for his needs in information technology, Web and digital. It can also advise and guide microenterprises on international entry strategies. Thanks to its involvement, it gives a chance to associations, cooperatives and groups of emerging countries the opportunity to develop beyond borders through a unique expertise and a network of contacts rich in know-how.
